The kafesli, or cage, setting lifts a red stone on an openwork silver frame, letting light through from beneath and around it. It is an old Anatolian construction that makes a stone look larger than its mount. Handmade in İstanbul by Vezir Kuyumculuk. Alternative stone colours can be requested from the maker on Nadirum.
