Made in Midyat, the south-eastern Turkish town whose name is shorthand for silverwork, this women's ring carries the hand of the Nurtaş Gümüş atelier. Telkâri filigree, in which thread-thin silver is wound into lace and fused, gives the piece its open, airy face. The ornament is drawn from an open flower head.
