The Nurtaş Gümüş workshop in Midyat, south-eastern Turkey, keeps to hand methods, and this women's ring is one result. The work is telkâri filigree: silver drawn into fine wire, bent into scrolls and soldered so the pattern reads as much through its gaps as its metal.
