Made in Midyat, the south-eastern Turkish town whose name is shorthand for silverwork, this men's necklace carries the hand of the Nurtaş Gümüş atelier. It is straightforward hand silverwork, made the way the workshop has always made it. The ornament is drawn from calligraphic script cut into the silver.
