Hand-built in Midyat, the Mardin town known across Turkey for its silversmiths, this ring comes from Sümer Telkari. Telkâri filigree, where thin silver wire is drawn, wound and fused into airy pattern, shapes the whole surface. Its vav motif takes the Arabic letter, a favourite shape in Ottoman calligraphic ornament. Order arrangements are made on the jeweller's site.
