This pair of earrings is bench-made by Sümer Telkari in Midyat, the silversmithing town of Mardin province in south-eastern Turkey. It is worked in telkâri, the wire filigree technique that fills a silver frame with tiny curled threads. The named stone in the title, turquoise, is set into the silver.
