Ottoman & Turkic Jewelry

Jewelry carrying the visual language of the Ottoman and Turkic world. The tughra — a sultan's calligraphic monogram, once the seal of an empire — appears on rings and pendants. So do the Seljuk star, the double-headed eagle, Zülfikar (the sword of Imam Ali), the grey wolf of Turkic legend and the emblems of the sixteen Turkish states. These are made by jewelers in İstanbul and Konya who work these motifs every day.
