This two-piece set is bench-made by Sümer Telkari in Midyat, the silversmithing town of Mardin province in south-eastern Turkey. The sarma work, meaning wrapped, coils silver wire around the form in close, even turns. Onyx is the stone used, seated in the silver frame.
