From Midyat in Mardin province, where silversmithing has long been a local livelihood, comes this hand-finished two-piece set. Telkâri filigree, where thin silver wire is drawn, wound and fused into airy pattern, shapes the whole surface. The vav is the Arabic letter long used as an ornamental motif in Ottoman calligraphy.
