From Midyat in Mardin province, where silversmithing has long been a local livelihood, comes this hand-finished silver necklace. Its telkâri work, filigree built from drawn silver wire soldered into open patterns, is done entirely at the bench. A lotus form, an old Anatolian decorative motif, organises the design.
