Made in the workshop's Midyat atelier, this pendant necklace carries the silver tradition of Mardin, the old stone city of south-eastern Turkey. Dorica describes the faceted silver beads used here, cut so each facet catches light separately. A blue evil-eye bead sits in the composition as a guard against misfortune.
