This pendant necklace is bench-made by Sümer Telkari in Midyat, the silversmithing town of Mardin province in south-eastern Turkey. The dorica beads are faceted silver, machine-cut to throw light from many small planes. An evil-eye bead is set into the design, the familiar Anatolian charm against ill wishes.
