A Midyat-made necklace from Sümer Telkari, an atelier rooted in the silver craft of Mardin in south-eastern Turkey. Its telkâri work, filigree built from drawn silver wire soldered into open patterns, is done entirely at the bench. Floral shapes organise the surface, a staple of the local repertoire.
